Meet our supplier from Portugal: RESS TEXTILES

We want to be open and transparent with our DAY Golf brand. We have our collection sustainably produced in Portugal by our supporting Pereira de Castro family. It’s my pleasure to introduce you to our supplier from Portugal: RESS TEXTILES.

RESS TEXTILES – Ressurreição Malhas & Conf. Lda was started by Mr José António Castro and Mrs Maria da Ressurreição da Silva Pereira for the Portuguese market in 1988. They mainly specialized in jersey production for women’s, men’s, children’s, and baby clothes, as well as sportswear and nightwear. Mrs. Maria da Ressurreição mainly specialized in pattern making and cutting the fabric. They started their business out of the garage, but soon the business grew and within a few years the company expanded. In 1991 RESS TEXTILES stopped working as a subcontractor and started to deliver directly to clients in different markets.

RESS is a serious and active business partner for our DAY Golf brand. They develop the clothes according to our specifications and produce according to our quality standards. They do the quality control and provide us with logistic solutions. They work in a vertical way, keeping all aspects of the production process in-house, with a focus on sustainable production and a selection of raw materials and finishes.

With over 30 years of experience, RESS has a fine portfolio of European customers. 2020 has brought them exceptional growth, which has seen them build a new factory, from which they now operate in Carvalhal (approx. 2500m2).

DAY Golf and RESS really work together and it feels like a big family. We are very grateful for our cooperation and look forward to the coming years as we continue to develop beautiful sustainable functional apparel for you.

We thought we’d just do that, record an item for the program The Barometer on RTLZ. Well, we found that quite difficult. In the end, we are very happy with the result!
